our story
A decade of joy, artistry & community
KC Dance Center began in 2017 with a simple vision: to create a space where anyone from complete beginners to seasoned performers could discover the joy of dance. Over the past 9 years, that vision has blossomed into a dynamic and inclusive dance community shaped by world-class instruction, vibrant cultural events, and generations of passionate dancers.
Founded by internationally recognized choreographers and champion dancers, the studio blends expert technique with a warm, encouraging atmosphere. Whether you're preparing for a wedding, a cultural performance, or simply dancing for the joy of it, our private lessons, group classes, and social event prep help every student move with confidence.
We're especially proud of our showcase events like the annual Kollywood Night which bring together dancers from all walks of life for a night of energy, artistry, and celebration.

Luna Shrestha
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
"Dance is where I feel most alive and I love helping my students feel that too."
Dancing for 35+ years and choreographing & performing for 28+ across local, national, and international stages. Luna teaches dance, aerobics, yoga, and Nepali Zumba.
Navin KC
FOUNDER & Choreographer
"Every step is a story and I'm here to help others tell theirs through movement."
A renowned choreographer with 33+ years of professional experience nationally and internationally. Navin promotes Nepali language, art, and culture and has worked with Kollywood movie artists.

More About Kollywood Night
Kollywood Night is KC Dance Center's signature annual showcase — a full evening where our students, from the youngest beginners to our senior performers, take a professional stage in front of family, friends, and the wider community.
Each year brings new choreography across Bollywood, Nepali cultural, hip hop, and fusion styles — months of rehearsal, custom costumes, and a packed house.
Kollywood Night has welcomed thousands of attendees and continues to bring together dance, culture, families, and the Nepali-American community across Northern Virginia.
